Yes. All of the policies we offer give you the option to add an additional Cruise extension, or they include cover for being on a cruise as standard. For those with an extension - Direct Travel, AllSafe, Fit2Travel - you are covered for a more specific variety of cruise-related risks. Note that all policies require you to select the ‘Cruise’ option during the quote process, to make sure that you are covered appropriately.
Direct Travel/AllSafe (Allianz)
Section Q: Optional Cruise Cover (DTI) or Section P: Optional Cruise Cover (AllSafe) - if you are on a cruise that misses a scheduled port of call indicated on your original itinerary or replaces it with another port of call, we will pay you the per port amount listed on your Cover Summary for each port you missed, up to the maximum benefit listed for Missed Port of Call cover.
Fit2Travel (Arch)
Under Section CR1 - If you miss your sailing, you are covered if you arrived at your embarkation point after the cruise ship had departed because of something that happened that you could not have foreseen, or have been able to avoid.
Goodtogo (Red Sands)
You can make a claim under Policy B, Section 2 - Missed Departure and Travel Delay for missed departure if the vehicle in which you are travelling to your international departure point becomes undrivable due to mechanical failure or being involved in an accident, or your public transport is delayed, preventing you from being able to check-in on time for your outward departure.
Be aware - this cover is not exhaustive and the above summaries do not specify the terms, conditions, or exclusions under which you can claim. You will need to check your Policy Wording to make sure you are fully aware of your travel insurance cover.
