FlyDubai plane crashes leaving no survivors

55 passengers along with 7 crew members were killed in Saturday's aircraft crash. A Boeing 737-800 attempted to land at Rostov-on-Don airport, but poor visibility and high winds lead to the aircraft missing the runway. CCTV showed an explosion occurring after the aircraft landed, which broke the aircraft into pieces.

The two pilots each had around 6,000 hours of flying experience, and the airport was described as ‘good enough to operate and good enough for landings’ by a BBC reporter. The incident has invited a great deal of speculation to what exactly the cause of the tragedy was, but currently it is still under investigation.

It was confirmed that none of the passengers or crew involved were of British nationality after The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office stated that ‘local authorities have informed us that there are no British nationals involved.’
