Ryanair have warned their customers that their website and mobile app services are to close today for 8 hours.
The shutdown will take place so that the system can be upgraded.
The services will be unavailable from 18:30 (UK time) tonight (Wednesday 22nd March), until 02:30 (UK time) on Thursday 23rd March.
The shutdown is set to affect customers travelling with the airline over the next couple of days, as the online check-in service, flight bookings, and changes will be unavailable.
The airline has encouraged its customers travelling across the next two days to check-in online before the shutdown, in order to bypass the disruption.
Speaking about the update, Ryanair’s Robin Kiely, said: “This web closure and systems upgrade will take 8 hours, from 18:30hrs (UK time) on Wednesday 22nd March, until 02:30hrs (UK time) on Thursday 23rd March, during which time our online check-in service will not be available.
“Flight bookings and changes will also be unavailable during this period.
“…We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this upgrade, which will further improve Ryanair.com, Europe’s largest travel website, as we continue our path to becoming the Amazon of Travel.”
Ryanair have contacted their customers who are due to travel today and tomorrow by email and SMS text.
